KABUL: Abdullah Abdullah, head of the Afghan Reconciliation Council, has said that the location of talks with the Afghan Taliban should not be an obstacle.

Abdullah Abdullah, head of the Afghan Reconciliation Council, expressed these views on the micro-blogging site Twitter, saying that the second round of talks between the Afghan Taliban and the government would begin on January 5.

Abdullah said he hoped the second round of peace talks would yield positive results, adding that the location of talks with the Afghan Taliban should not be an obstacle.

The head of the Afghan Reconciliation Council added in his tweet that the Afghan people support and welcome the peace talks.
