New oil and gas reserves discovered in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh: Four new oil and gas reserves have been discovered in different parts of Saudi Arabia.
According to Arab media, Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has said that four new oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Saudi Arabia.
He said that Aramco had discovered new deposits from different parts of the country.
Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman said that oil was discovered from Al-Resh well west of Dhahran city, where 4452 barrels of oil can be extracted daily from well number two.
He said that 3.2 million cubic feet of gas could be extracted from here on a daily basis.
According to the Saudi minister, on the basis of this revelation, well number three was dug from which 2745 barrels of oil and three million cubic feet of gas will be extracted.
He said that 3654 barrels of oil and 1.6 million cubic feet of oil could be extracted from well number four. Aramco has also discovered gas from Al-Manjar well which is located near Al-Ghawar well.
Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman said that 18 million cubic feet of gas could be extracted from here daily, adding that a well was also dug near it from where 32 million cubic feet of gas would be extracted.
The Energy Minister said that Aramco was working on the newly discovered reserves after which high quality oil and gas would be supplied to the market.
